The denied revolution of Franco Basaglia in Gorizia is an adventure of bodies. The city was crossed by one of the most important experiments of the last century — and it rejected it. On the day when the walls of the psychiatric hospital were torn down, shattering an intricate and coercive system of rules, the bodies had to begin, once again, to learn how to be bodies. What is freedom in an open and unfamiliar space?

Le Prefiche” embarks on a ritualistic journey led by four professional mourners who openly share their sorrow with those who struggle—or are not allowed—to express emotion during moments of grief. Rooted in a rich and ancient history that predates even the Egyptians, the tradition of professional mourning has helped communities navigate the depths of loss across cultures and continents.
These women, in their unique and vivid ways, guide us through a universal experience—death—with honesty, presence, and intensity. We follow their collective dynamics, their rituals of preparation and invocation, their laments and pain, and even, perhaps unexpectedly, the joy of serving a noble purpose: uniting people through the darkest of times.
Life and death, joy and sorrow, laughter and tears—they are but two sides of the same coin.
These mourners are here to remind us of that eternal truth.

Dada Love is a duet between two women that dives into the radical, provocative universe of Dadaism to offer a reflection on love, the body, and language. The performers inhabit the space like exploring creatures, reminiscent of birds wandering with curiosity and attentiveness, mapping the stage centimetre by centimetre. They watch each other, evade each other, seek each other out, and gradually reveal themselves, in a ritual made of gestures, modesty, and attraction.
Like in a mating dance, the movement becomes increasingly intimate, ironic, poetic — and senseless. Language is reduced to a single sound: “da-da-da-da,” an absurd and liberating vocabulary that, as in Dadaism, cancels meaning to open up new possible interpretations.
In this orderly chaos, the two figures eventually manage to build a shared space of their own — a fragile, surreal love nest from which a more lyrical, tender, almost ecstatic final dance emerges. In a world that always demands meaning, Dada Love celebrates the uselessness of love — and does so, hopefully, without any meaning at all.

Most of us are affected by the goldfish syndrome: we remain in our pretty little glass bowl, excluding what is different and limiting our perception of the world we live in.
If you increase the size of the aquarium, the goldfish will continue to grow. Conversely, if you keep a goldfish in a small bowl, it will stop growing or even die.
If someone from another world were to arrive on Earth and observe humanity, they would probably find incredibly strange—and even immoral—behaviors that for us are completely normal. Social dynamics, conflicts, the constant search for identity, rigid gender roles, and cultural expectations would appear completely incomprehensible if seen without the filter of our daily beliefs and habits.
Can you imagine a first encounter where time and space stand still, and where you can be totally pure?
Founded in 2021 through the collaboration of Linda Pasquini, Marianna Basso, and Daniel Tosseghini, Collettivo Nanouk created its first staging of The Old Man, presented in 2023 after a residency at Officine CAOS in Turin. The piece was showcased at several festivals, including “Presente Futuro” (Palermo), “Tanzplattform Bern” (Switzerland), and “Festival Voci dell’Anima” (Rimini), earning multiple awards.
In 2023, the collective worked as choreographers for the Junior Company of Opificio Movimento (Italy) and joined the “Nuove Traiettorie XL” program, which supported the development of The Old Man into its final form.
In 2024, Nanouk took part in international festivals such as “CicBuny-Burgus Y Nueva York” (Spain) and “MasDanza” (Spain), as well as national events like “Corto in Danza” (Cagliari) and “Festival Mirabilia” (Cuneo), receiving significant recognition. The collective won the Critics’ Prize at “DirectionUnder30” (Reggio Emilia), leading to an invitation to “Festival Aperto” (Reggio Emilia), where the full 40-minute version of The Old Man was presented. This version premiered at Palio ErmoColle 2024 (Parma), winning the festival’s special prize. This new version also marked the beginning of a collaboration with the next generation of performers, bringing two young dancers on stage alongside the collective. In 2025, Nanouk creates Dive, which was selected to be part of the Vetrina della giovane danza d’autore – Anticorpi XL.
